The Gourmet Cookie Book contains "the single best recipe from each year, 1941-2009".

I actually LOVE this book. It's unreal to flip through its pages and see the similarities and differences between the present and nearly seventy years ago.

This eclectic books takes you from Cajun Macaroons in 1941, to Florentines in 1968, to my personal favourite Walnut Acorn Cookies in 2000, and finally, finishing with Grand Marnier Glazed Pain D'Epice Cookies in good ol' 2009, with many more in between!

Now, because I really am this awesome, I'm giving away one (1) copy of The Gourmet Cookie Book to one (1) lucky winner! Please read the rules and guidelines below on how to enter!

  1. what a neat book I would love a copy of it, i LOVE all cookies!! My favorite cookie is one i got from Kraft, i don't know their official name, but they are oatmeal, chocolate chip and cinnamon...although ones i made last week, S'more cookies, are an awful close second!!!

  2. Cookies are a staple in my house. My nieces and nephews love coming to the cookie jar to see if it is filled. This would be great for new cookie ideas.

  6. It's hard to choose just one favourite, but I'd have to go with my Mint-Chocolate Crackles. They're soft, chewy chocolate cookies that are rolled in icing sugar before baking. Wicked addictive.
    I'm a big fan of classic chewy chocolate chip cookies, though, especially the sweet-and-salty kind.

My favorite cookie recipe is actually a family favorite called "Forever Cookies", so named because each married couple in the family that has been married for many years made these cookies while dating and they've been married "forever". My husband and I made them often while dating, and when we got married this past July, we made/wrapped miniature versions of these cookies as wedding favors, and attached the recipe to each gift. It was so fun! The cookie just a chocolate chip walnut recipe.
