My name is Jordan.
Yes, I'm a boy. Guy? Male? Man? I'm 21.
I was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario. That's in Canada. I still live here. There's still lots of snow.
I'm in my final year, I think, of university, majoring in Human Rights.
I own a small online business, I'm With Cupcake. We sell fun novelty items, like housewares and accessories, as well as party + baking supplies.
I also run a fun party + resource blog called Fiesta Résistance.
I love to bake and I love to photograph what I bake. I sometimes like to cook and rarely like to photograph what I cook.
I'm quirky and tend to have conversations with myself. Thankfully people aren't around to hear it.
I'm sarcastic and have a foul mouth and you really can't take anything I say too seriously. If I write a post about something you find offensive you can e-mail me or just know that I have no filter and will probably keep saying what I want regardless.
But I'm not a mean person. I don't insult people or make fun of them. I just say what's on my mind about things everyone thinks about.
I owe a lot to my mother for buying the Canon camera I photograph with. Mostly because she bought it for herself and now I'm its primary caregiver.
I have a dog named Leonard who I call my Princess because he can be such a diva sometimes.
I grew up with two older sisters who had too much fun chasing me around the house pretending they were vampires and dressing me up as a girl. I mean, it was no big deal. I look good in purple lipstick.
My eldest sister has three kids (yes, there really is that big of an age difference). A six year old nephew and two year old twins; a boy and a girl! They're the best little people I've ever met. They could fart and my heart would melt.
My other sister, who is still quite a bit older than me, is currently pregnant with her first child. I haven't met the baby yet, obviously (I'm not a wizard), but I already love him more than buttercream.
My parents are the two most important people in my life.
My mother is insanely successful, both professionally and personally. She is an amazingly talented writer with two self-published books, both of which can be seen here, as well as an amazing mother and grandmother.
My father is a martial arts instructor and successful entrepreneur. I still wrestle him to the ground and try and give him wedgies. He lets me win, I know, but I still brag about how much stronger I am.
I'm not the type of person to have a lot of friends. I tend to gravitate to people like myself and hold on for dear life.
I was going to tell you my fears but then I thought that you might one day use them against me, so I'm going to skip this part.
I sing in the shower.
I sing while I'm baking.
I sing in my head during class.
I sing while I'm walking down the hall.
And I sing while I'm writing an essay.
All off key I might add.
I'm the funny one in my family.
I'm also the one who won't shut up.
